Transpro has the infrastructure & expertise to design engineer and manufacture clean room cables that are used in a large diversity of controlled and low particulation environments.

Clean Rooms and clean room cables

Clean room environments are basic manufacturing facilities with E.S.D protected assembly areas, manned by personnel certified to the IPC Standard whose inspection system is maintained to meet IPC-620. Clean rooms have a controlled level of contamination that is specified by the number of particles per cubic meter at a specified particle size. Eliminating sub-micron airborne contamination is really a process of control.

These contaminants are generated by people, processes, facilities and equipment. Equipment inside the Clean Room is designed to generate minimal air contamination and to be easy to clean of dust etc.
The level to which these particles need to be removed depends upon the standards required.
Clean Rooms are environments used in many industries, such as semiconductor, biotech, medical device, life sciences and aerospace.
The only way to control clean rooms contamination is to control the total environment. Air flow rates and direction, pressurization, temperature, humidity and specialized filtration all need to be tightly controlled.
The sources of these particles need to controlled or eliminated whenever possible. There is more to a Clean Room than air filters.

Clean Rooms are planned and manufactured using strict protocol and methods. A Clean Room cable designed and manufactured specifically for Clean Room applications has to meet certain standards.
Transpro and its team of experts deliver Clean Room cables projects on time and on budget.

Our products can be modified to suit a specific application where unique length, environmental or electrical requirements may apply.

Class 100

Transpro’s facility features a Class 100 clean room. The clean room is used for the production of cables and assemblies for a variety of industries, such as the semi-conductor industry which require a clean work environment. Our clean room supports the production of low and high-voltage cables, which are tested at up to 20 KV, as well as vacuum cables, using Pre and Post assembly processes.
